The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Vice President, Quality Engineer for its New York, NY location. DUTIES: Create scalable and extensible solutions for major Quality Engineering Challenges across the Enterprise. Improve the Quality & Productivity of the Engineering Community by questioning the traditional way of working and implementing innovative solutions that help solve such challenges at scale. Adhere to best practices and promote the same across the Engineering Community enabling consistency of Automation Tools and Practices being adopted. Perform Automation initiatives to deliver results that further accelerate the Transformation efforts. Support QE Initiatives involving working with detailed Messaging Queues & Associated Automation Technologies. Support QE Initiatives involving working with performance testing of detailed systems. Monitor the progress, resolve blockers, and report progress to Senior QE Leadership. Mentor QE Engineers to improve their skills and improves their productivity. Monitor the technology landscape to adopt and integrate new technologies into the BNYM Ecosystem. Solve high level Automation Challenges spanning multiple technologies in a scalable and extensible manner with the least amount of maintenance in a short span of time. Solve high level Automation challenges associated with Databases & ETL Systems. Solve high level Automation challenges associated with Messaging Queues. Solve high level Automation and Performance Testing Challenges. Improve the Efficiency of Automation using innovative technologies and thought processes. Promote and implement the Shift Left Approach in close collaboration with the Application Development Teams. Resolve any technical or cultural blockers in adopting this new approach. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Eight (8) years of experience must include: Identifying test conditions and test data to define accurate test coverage based on user stories; Designing test automation frameworks and developing automated scripts using Appium, Selenium, Cucumber with programming languages including JAVA and Python; Configuring test execution leveraging cloud native technologies including AWS or Docker Containerization platform.; Utilizing tools including Gitlabs to schedule continuous integration and continuous testing pipeline of automated scripts; Performing testing and automation across different layers of architecture that includes APIs, Messaging, and Databases; Implementing full defect management life cycle and traceability metrics using tools including Jira. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $184,080.00 to $ 221,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. |
