Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a senior software engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the US Air Force Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division.

JOB STATUS: FT or PT

TRAVEL: 5%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years' experience in lieu of degree.
• Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Confluence and JIRA).
• Familiar with container creation and security (e.g. zero-trust model, container hardening, security sidecar injection).
• Familiarity with a CI/CD DevSecOps environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage teams to achieve milestones identified during Program Increment Planning Events to ensure capability delivery every three months.
• Secure leading development teams utilizing DevSecOps principles.
• Able to demonstrate intellectual curiosity and always keep technical skills current.
• Be hands-on, close to the technology, and drive the direction of the organization with conviction.
• Demonstrate a startup mindset and forward-leaning vision towards enterprise-grade and enterprise-scale solutions.
• Communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner.
• Represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff.
