Guardian Industries is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Quality Engineer to join our team at the Richburg, SC facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving quality assurance and operational excellence within our state-of-the-art flat glass manufacturing plant. As a key contributor to our quality initiatives, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards to meet and exceed customer expectations. What You Will Do

* Lead and support Quality Management Systems (QMS) within the plant to profitably meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Drive the achievement of quality assurance objectives in a continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence environment by implementing industry best practices.
* Model the Principled Based Management (PBM) guiding principles to maintain and enhance the plant's culture. Strive for operational excellence in product quality, process reliability, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize quality tools and processes, such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, Equipment PFMEA, and Validation techniques.
* Facilitate structured problem-solving activities and implement effective corrective actions using methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, and Cause Mapping.
* Develop and maintain measurement systems to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Provide training and mentorship to team members on quality practices and tools to enhance organizational capabilities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
* Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or 3-5 years of experience in a quality-related role within manufacturing.
* Proficiency in core quality tools, including problem-solving frameworks like 8D, DMAIC, and root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Why, Ishikawa, Cause Mapping).
* Experience in creating and interpreting detailed data reports to inform decision-making.
* Advanced statistical knowledge (Green Belt certification preferred) and proficiency in statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, and other advanced methodologies.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead teams effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise quality documentation.
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, with proven experience in implementation and audits.
