Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor delivers installs demonstrates and maintains medical equipment such as respirator oxygen equipment hospital beds and wheelchairs for use in private residences by performing the following duties

Responsibilities:
Loads medical equipment on truck and delivers equipment to patients or patient's residence. Instruct patients on proper operation and utilization of equipment.

Unloads installs and sets up equipment.

Inspects and maintains oxygen equipment. Inspects hoses and water traps to detect leaks and condensation. Maintains logs and storage area of O2 cylinders. Fills liquid oxygen tanks. Changes filters.

Maintains warehouse area. Maintains company vehicle according to standards. Maintains highway and driving regulations and safety precautions.

Performs all duties within infection control and safety policy and procedures in the handling of equipment and personnel policies and procedures.

Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner in accordance with established Brown University Health Diversified Services policies and the Fleet Risk control policy and procedures.

Ensure that control number for rental equipment is properly recorded.

Maintain and inspect delivery vehicles on a daily basis.

Maintains accurate and timely records for management reporting system.

Performa other duties as assigned by supervisor.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record in order to operate motor vehicles as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and in accordance with the Brown University Health Fleet Risk Control Policy.

EXPERIENCE:

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally is exposed to outside weather conditions when traveling between sites.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Incumbent must have the ability to lift 100 lbs.
