Job Summary

Provide strategic management of programs, processes and initiatives and serve as a member of the management team of the Outreach and Client Services unit within the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OFSA). This position will interact on a regular basis with: Staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Students and unit staff. This position will supervise: Assigned staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage the technical and functional tasks required to ensure that OFSA is in compliance with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards including but not limited to the review of every aid applicant and recipient every semester.

Job Duty 2 -
Manage the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program annual allocation from the US Department of Education, ensuring compliance with the associated Federal regulations as well as all University System of Georgia and Georgia Tech polices related to student employment; including the supervision of the day to day operations of job placements and award/earnings monitoring.

Job Duty 3 -
Coordinate outreach and services for very special cohorts including but not limited to Study or Work Abroad and/or Foreign Study programs, Veterans, First Generation initiatives, the EXCEL program for learners with mental disabilities, and degree seekers also taking non degree courses and/or our on-line programs.

Job Duty 4 -
Represent the unit in meetings and presentations with both internal departments and/or external entities.

Job Duty 5 -
Prepare reports, and manage and analyze data for the unit.

Job Duty 6 -
Oversee and manage the web content of the unit.

Job Duty 7 -
Compile and assess customer service survey results.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced knowledge of federal student aid programs and the rules and regulations governing financial aid. Working knowledge of financial aid management software and query language scripting are essential skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and enforce complex rules and regulations, and demonstrated management experience are also required.

Job Grade: A8

Salary or Pay Range: $62,400

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education
