How you will make history here...

As a Controls Engineer, you will lead, manage, and integrate engineering projects across the Campbell's Snacks Denver, Pennsylvania production facilities. As an individual contributor, you will work on assignments of a highly complex level applying engineering knowledge to assignments including full, complex production systems.

What you will do...

  • Provide subject matter expertise for industrial electrical systems (including primary power and substations), plant electrical wiring, and manufacturing control systems.
  • Lead and execute the strategic vision for automation and controls systems.
  • Proactive project leadership of engineering projects throughout the design and installation phases.
  • Work independently on assignments of medium to high complexity projects / engineering tasks applying engineering knowledge to assignments.
  • Coordinate and review contractor and vendor activity and interface with plant personnel ensuring compliance with plant and corporate standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance as needed to plant manufacturing processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Development, management, and implementation of highly complex capital multifunctional projects, often involved with new or improved products, processes or techniques.
  • Responsible for schedules, project authorization documents, cost control, development of RFPs and functional testing, descriptions, inspections, start-up, training requirements for new high complexity installations including operating instructions and maintenance manuals.
  • Periodically review technology advancements to provide a competitive advantage through continued education, seminars, and trade shows. Serve as a technical mentor in several areas of expertise to others in the plant.
  • You will be working in production plants, offices and may be required at times to work varying shifts or weekends to support project execution requirements.

What you bring to the table...

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of industrial experience with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing large capital projects utilizing project management processes.
  • Proficient with Allen Bradley Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), and HMI programming, vision systems.

It would be great to have...

  • Project management professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls systems.
  • Experience with high-speed automation, robotics and vision systems, VFD's
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined team through capital project creation and execution.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with personnel of all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, applied creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of project scheduling, cost tracking and forecasting inclusive of project management tools.
  • Ability to create drawings using AutoCAD and proficient with computers to create spreadsheets, reports, and general correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering discipline drawings.
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$107,500-$154,600

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
