Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Support (SETS) has a need for a Marine Energy Project Manager to directly support the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) on the marine energy team, which invests in cutting-edge research in marine energy technologies, which harness energy from ocean waves, tides, currents, or salinity/temperature/pressure gradients. This position will provide direct technical and project management support to WPTO's tidal and wave energy portfolios specifically for tidal energy site construction and operation and wave energy converter open water deployments. Support involves day-to-day interactions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and communications; as well as external parties including project recipients in private industry, academia, other agencies, and National Laboratories. This position will directly support competitively selected marine energy projects, primarily focusing on big infrastructure and site development. An ideal candidate will have project management experience (Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred certification), experience with large infrastructure/construction projects, and prior background with:

Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $110,000 to $140,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
