The Part Time Assistant Group Leader will be responsible for providing before school and/or after school care for children in CTI's School Age Program. They will receive staffing assignments regarding daily curriculum, provide co-supervision to children in 1:13 ratio with a Group Leader, and act as a coach to the youth enrolled.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Responsible for working at all school age sites as assigned.
  • Provide supervision and safety of children. Maintain a daily group list and attendance.
  • Recognize the child enrolled as an individual, helping children to develop as a member of the group.
  • Present respectful communication and maintain standards for behavior through a positive approach.
  • Assist in creating the weekly curriculum.
  • Assist with daily activities and follow the daily curriculum plans and schedule, cannot be left alone with children.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces that include setting up the daily spaces (i.e.: breaking down tables, rearranging the spaces and cleaning at the end of the day).
  • Share concerns about children and families with Site Coordinator.
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and families.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Evidence of physical exam within one-year prior to date of hire. Evidence of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella.
  • Compliance with current EEC tuberculosis screening.
  • Must have updated certification in CPR and First Aid, as required by EEC or obtained within two months of employment.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus.
  • Must be enrolled in High School or GED equivalent.
  • CORI/DCF review prior to employment.
